INTERDEPENDENT is proud to welcome our first director-producer, Mark A. Burley, to Coudersport, PA. Mark is a 4x Emmy-nominated director and producer behind classic television including Simon & Simon, Murder, She Wrote, and The Incredible Hulk, as well as modern favorites Weeds, Orange Is the New Black, and G.L.O.W.. Mark will direct INTERDEPENDENT's inaugural feature film, The Carrier — a dark comedy about a healthcare executive who kills off his highest-cost claimants to boost profits. The film shoots this Fall in and around Potter and McKean County. To celebrate, we'll screen one of the landmark films that inspired The Carrier by Todd Restler (also in attendance) — and get to know Mark as he settles into the area, with a first look at what's ahead for this project and INTERDEPENDENT. All ticket proceeds support local film production and the construction of a permanent moviemaking facility at 428 Route 6 W, Coudersport, PA. 7:00 PM — Red Carpet Walk Dress up or come as you are — black tie encouraged.
